Super Wings takes to the skies with Flybe

Published on: 21st August 2018

Alpha Animation’s hit pre-school property collaborates with Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline.

The partnership, co-ordinated by Hello Communications Group, saw Super Wings branded activity sheets on board Flybe flights as of 15th August. Aimed at providing fun and educational activities for pre-schoolers on over 200 routes, the sheets will entertain up to 30,000 children throughout the remainder of the summer holidays with a mixture of visual, interactive and puzzling tasks, all relating back to the Super Wings characters and their core values.

The on-board activity will be supported by additional digital and social media content across both www.flybe.com and Super Wings channels, giving customers the chance to win Flybe flights and Super Wings toy bundles.

“This collaboration was a no brainer for us,” commented Mark Hyndman, general country manager at Alpha Animation UK. “Super Wings’ core values centre around travel, culture, friendship and families, all of which resonate with Flybe and their brand values. This summer, we’re really looking forward to seeing this collaboration get off the ground – and seeing where it will take us moving forwards.”

Flybe’s chief commercial officer, Roy Kinnear, added: “Our brand values are very similar to those of Super Wings and, in becoming closer to our customers, we want to do everything possible to make their journey with us as enjoyable as possible. During the summer holidays in particular, more of our passengers are flying with their young ones, often for the first time. The eye-catching Super Wings activity sheets look great fun and will most certainly help make our short flights seem even shorter!”
