Sylvanian Families to open Soho pop-up

Published on: 7th October 2019

The brand’s first official pop-up shop will open in central London on 19th October.

Located in London’s Brewer Street in Soho, the shop will be open daily throughout the run up to Christmas and busy sales period, until 5th January 2020.

Located at 52 Brewer Street, the pop-up shop will give fans the chance to get their hands on an exclusive, limited edition new Sylvanian Families character – a Guardian Bear – which is only available at the pop up shop. The bear reflects the London location of the shop, and is dressed in full military uniform complete with a hat.

The immersive shop will also feature a London-themed selfie corner, never-seen-before products, plus a performance area for the Sylvanian characters, who will be popping in for regular meet and greets throughout the shop’s opening period. Fans will also be able to experience a range of fun interactive activities.

The shop will stock both existing and new ranges of Sylvanian Families and is open from 10am to 8pm daily and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays. Epoch is also offering the Sylvanian Families Premium Fan Club Members an exclusive drop-in session on the opening day, 9am – 11am, for loyal fans to visit and shop at the pop-up before general admission.

Ahead of the global 35th anniversary of Sylvanian Families in 2020, Epoch hopes to attract new fans and reconnect with long-standing collectors through the pop-up, to drive demand during its key birthday year.

Neil Bandtock, Managing Director of Epoch making toys, commented: “The Sylvanian pop-up store will give us a great opportunity to showcase the whole of the Sylvanian Families world to our consumers. Most of the store is given over to marketing initiatives and interactive display dioramas, highlighting key seasonal ranges to potential new fans. Our objective with this central London pop-up is to help build awareness and drive demand for our Sylvanian Families ranges in the crucial Q4 period and beyond.”
