Sylvanian Families trends on Twitter

Flair’s Sylvanian Families trended twice in the UK’s top tweets as part of a national Twitter Party.

The social media campaign, organised by Evolution PR and UKMums.tv, saw nearly six million tweets delivered to close to 400,000 unique users in the space of two hours on Tuesday 16th October, as #SylvanianFamiliesParty became the fourth hottest topic in the UK.

During the party, twenty-five top mummy bloggers hosted the parties at home, taking part in activities and games whilst inviting thousands of Sylvanian Families fans from across the country to take part in discussing the brand and key toy lines.

As non-party hosts joined in the fun, SylvanianFamiliesParty and Sylvania both trended across the UK, above Girls Aloud and England’s football match against Poland.

Holly Lackey, Flair’s Sylvanian Families product manager, said: “The Twitter Party was a fantastic way to celebrate Sylvanian Families’ 25th Anniversary year and we are delighted with the coverage that our 25 party hosts achieved. The social media drive was just one of a number of incentives we have for Autumn, with our gallery event at The Strand being next at the end of October. We hope that by spreading our reach the wonderful world of Sylvania can be enjoyed by even more of the UK public.”
