Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pre-sales hit record highs

Pre-sales for the new toys, brought to the UK toy market by Flair Leisure Products, hit record levels ahead of the official launch on December 1st.

Since the start of pre-sales on 1st October, Flair has seen unprecedented levels of demand, with sales to date exceeding targets. Following the success of the new Nickelodeon TV series, the new Turtles toys will descend into UK toy stores nationwide on 1st December.

The collection includes an assortment of nine of the most popular character action figures shown in an acute level of detail, complete with their own personalised ninja weapon. There are a number of deluxe figures complete with sound effects, along with special collector’s figures. The line also includes an array of villains, vehicles, playsets and role play.

Following the initial launch, Flair will be extending the range with a number of new waves of product launches planned for 2013.

Simon Hedge, senior VP of sales and marketing at Flair Leisure Products, said: “As a cult classic and toy phenomenon, we always knew our new Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles toy collection would prove exceptionally popular, however the level of demand to date has exceeded all expectations.

“One of the key attributes to this is the nostalgic element; the toys are attracting not only a new generation and avid fans of the Nickelodeon show, but also dads who were original fans the first time round. As such, the Turtles offer a unique, magical toy experience; enabling dads to share in their memories with their children and create new ones.”
