The new interactive Marvel experience will have fans taking part in a digital treasure hunt through Tesco stores in search of their own Iron Man.
Stark Armoury is part of Tesco’s plans for Iron Man 3 in-store and online which will see retail displays in 400 stores across the UK and Ireland for Iron Man 3 products across toys, apparel, publishing, games and DVDs.
Users will automatically gain access to the Mark II suit, with which they can take a photograph of themselves, frame it in their suit and share via social media. The Stark Armoury can then be unlocked by visiting a Tesco store and scanning selected Stark Armoury labelled displays with their device, unlocking new features for the app including six different suits, multiple weapons and a feature that allows the user to see a 3D Iron Man on-screen and who they can pose next to for a photo with their favourite Armoured Avenger.
Users will also be able to access features of the app at the Tesco Iron Man 3 website, where they can view the official film trailer for Marvel’s Iron Man 3 and a trailer for the app itself.
