The Spiel des Jahres winners are due to be announced on the 20th July 2020.
Thames & Kosmos UK has received two nominations from the prestigious Spiel des Jahres Committee for My City by Reiner Knizia (Spiel des Jahres) and The Crew by Thomas Sing (Kennerspiel des Jahres).
The Crew has already proved popular, taking Essen Games Expo by storm last year and growing from a sleeper hit to a must-have game in a matter of weeks. “When The Crew hit our warehouse earlier in the year, it sold out within days and after coming back in stock last week is on course to sell out again soon – which goes to show what a strong co-op team game The Crew is”, commented Jo Drage, sales director at Thames & Kosmos UK.
The company is about to bring My City to market in the UK, and Jo added: “We can not wait to get My City into our warehouse in July so that the board game community in the UK will be able to enjoy this legacy game where no two games are alike.”
