The August edition of Toy World is out now

Published on: 1st August 2022

A new month means a new edition of the industry’s favourite, regular monthly title. Find out what the August Toy World has in store below.

This month we bring you a special report from Toymaster’s Paul Reader and Dave Middleton, who recently made the trip to the Learning Express show in Florida. It’s great to see two fantastic specialist independent organisations collaborating and exchanging ideas (and football shirts) – we think it’s a must-read piece.

There’s a raft of fascinating company profiles to enjoy: Mattel’s Michael Hick and Kelly Philp bring us up to date on all the latest at the company; new Clementoni UK country manager Paul Fogarty tells us about his plans to develop the brand in the UK; Lisa Longley talks ethics and sustainability at Sambro; we hear from Lauren Shipman at Posh Paws about how the company’s ranges are evolving; David Allan and Emma Damerell share what a positive time Toynamics UK is having, and cover star KAP Toys’ Nat Southworth explains why the company has decided to develop its very first own-brand plush range as excitement builds for the launch of Fuzzballs.

There’s a special feature on Konami, on what’s coming up from the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG; and we have delved into the STEM category, the Plush category and Wooden Toys to bring you all the latest news and products in dedicated features and listings. There’s a wealth of new product featured throughout the issue to give retailers plenty of inspiration to freshen up their product offering ahead of the festive season.

Of course, you’ll also find all the latest industry, people, marketing and licensing news; our regular columns from Generation Media, NPD and indie retailers Toy Barnhaus; plus our popular Talking Shop section.

Work is well underway on our next issue which will arrive promptly at the start of September, as things really start to heat up – and it will be our 11th birthday issue too. The September issue is going to be a fantastic edition and we can’t wait to bring it to you.
