The Character Group appoints three new board directors

The Character Group has announced the appointment of three new board directors.character-group-logo480

Richard King, one of the company founders and the executive chairman since the company’s flotation in 1995, is to stand down from his executive role from 1st February.

He will remain as a non-executive director and chairman of the board.

Kiran Shah, currently group finance director and joint managing director of the group, and Jon Diver, currently group marketing director and joint managing director, will remain joint managing directors of the group, but they will relinquish their respective roles as group finance director and group marketing director, also with effect from 1st February.

Mark Dowding, the group’s current chief financial officer and company secretary, will be promoted to group finance director on the board.

Jerry Healy, currently marketing director of the group’s principal subsidiary, Character Options Limited, will be appointed to the board and promoted to group marketing director.

Clive Crouch will become independent non-executive director of the company and join the board.
