The December issue of Toy World is out now

Published on: 5th December 2019

The final issue of 2019 is now available to read online.

The December issue of Toy World contains the first instalment of our two-part preview of Spielwarenmesse, in which we present must-know info on the toys and games on display at the show. With Casdon set to celebrate its 50th appearance at the Nuremberg trade event, we caught up with MD Phil Cassidy to find out what’s changed over the past five decades. Replete with some brilliant photos from the company’s early days, it’s well worth a look.

Carmel Giblin, CEO and president of the Ethical Toy Program, talked us through the latest Global Trends Report, how the programme is working to address existing and new issues, and discussed how automation and rising costs may impact the toy market in the years to come.

Siso Toys’ 44 Cats master toy range is poised to launch at London Toy Fair; marketing manager Mayur Pattni explains what the initial range offers, and what makes this property so attractive. We also caught up with Farzana Rahman, founder of the Desi Doll Company, about why the time is right for retailers to try out the company’s extensive range of toys and games.

This issue also contains the latest comments and opinion pieces from contributors including Ruth Clement, Nat Southworth, David Ripley, The NPD Group, the BTHA and Toy Barnhaus, as well as all the latest news and regular features such as Talking Shop.
