The Entertainer appoints director of logistics

The Entertainer has appointed Steve Williams as director of logistics, a role which holds full board responsibility for the company’s logistics functions.

Steve Williams PicSteve joins The Entertainer from third party logistics company FedEx, prior to which he spent more than 10 years at Claire’s Accessories where he rose from head of logistics to European supply chain director, overseeing more than 1,000 stores across 13 countries.

He will support The Entertainer’s continued expansion and oversee the move of the entire distribution operation this summer. The distribution centre is set to treble current capacity with over 225,000 sq ft and will hold 31,000 pallets.

His expert knowledge and experience of managing the logistics functions within the retail environment will be invaluable in ensuring we continue to deliver a first class service to our customers in a time of rapid growth. He will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth and seamless move to our new distribution centre in Banbury this summer.”
