The Entertainer says #HelloYellow on World Mental Health Day

Published on: 11th October 2019

The campaign #HelloYellow is all about showing children and young people that they are not alone with their mental health.

The Entertainer marked World Mental Health Day yesterday by saying #HelloYellow, with employees across the business, and the company’s famous mascot Jack, wearing items of yellow clothing in support of YoungMinds charity.

The campaign #HelloYellow from YoungMinds is all about showing children and young people that they are not alone with their mental health. On average, three children in every classroom has a mental health problem, and many more go through periods when they struggle to cope.

YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity fighting for young people’s mental health. The organisation provides a huge amount of information and support for young people on their website and runs a crisis messenger service for young people that need urgent help.

A downloadable guide will be made available on thetoyshop.com and via The Entertainer’s social media channels to offer parents and care givers support and advice.

The benefits of play aiding children’s positive mental health have been well documented. Toys which encourage active and imaginative play can help to reduce children’s anxieties and worries, as well as release positive endorphins.

World Mental Health Day took place yesterday, with supporters joining the #HelloYellow campaign by sharing pictures of themselves wearing yellow and using the hashtag #HelloYellow. Further information on YoungMinds and the work they do for children and young people can be found at youngminds.org.uk
