The retailer will open its first European stores next month in a franchise partnership with Ermes Group, the country’s largest and most diversified retailer.

Entertainer-480The Entertainer branded toy shops will initially be launching in November within Ermes’ own Debenhams stores in three leading retail destinations in Cyprus: Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia. The first standalone store is targeted for opening next year.

At each of the Grand Openings there will be balloon modelling, face painting and costume character appearances. In line with The Entertainer’s store initiatives, there will also be seasonal promotions and product demonstrations, along with plenty of in-store demos of the latest toys and gift card competitions.

Gary Grant, MD and founder of The Entertainer, commented: “We’re delighted to have found a well-established and retail expert to be our franchise partner in Cyprus. Ermes Group is renowned for its retail acumen and is an appealing partner with many similar values to The Entertainer. We’re delighted to be launching within three great shopping locations, which will then be followed by our first standalone Entertainer store in Europe. We’re really excited to be growing our international business and developing our brand beyond the UK.”
