The 5,021 sq ft store, located in a prime position on the high street, will create nine jobs. The address of the new store is at Unit 1 St Nicholas House, Colchester, CO1 1DN.

The store will celebrate its grand opening with a special trolley dash on Saturday 28th June undertaken by Rosie who has been supported by the Colchester Toy Library, a charity which lends toys to all children, in particular those with special needs, and provide play sessions for local families. Power Rangers’ character, Red Ranger, will also make special appearances throughout the day, and shoppers will be able to enjoy various special offers when they make purchases of Power Rangers and Lego.

Gary Grant, managing director and founder of The Entertainer, said: “After experiencing such solid growth across the UK, we are pleased to announce the opening of the Colchester store. Colchester offers a strong retail position for our store as it attracts large numbers of family shoppers who are demanding more toy shopping choice on the high street and within shopping centres. We look forward to bringing joy and wonder to the children of Colchester and we have plans to increase our presence in UK and will announce further plans soon.”
