The Hive makes a bee-line for LeapPad

Published on: 12th June 2012

LeapFrog has teamed up with Space Enterprises to bring top pre-school CGI animation, The Hive, to LeapPad and Leapster Explorer.

The TV bee family is set to buzz on to the LeapFrog App Centre this Summer, with episodes of the series available for exclusive download to the revolutionary children’s learning tablet and the Leapster Explorer console.

Initially three downloadable video apps will be launched on LeapFrog’s App Centre from 19th June 2012, with further launches still to be announced.  Each downloadable video app will contain five episodes from the TV series for £5 per app.

Mark Hurry, director of licensing at Space Enterprises, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with LeapFrog, a brand which is leading the way in enabling children to access digital content that is both fun and educational. Not only is The Hive hugely entertaining, but each episode also carries a positive learning message that is centred on the importance of family, working together to solve problems, being part of a diverse community, and caring for the environment. This has clear synergies with LeapFrog’s focus on ensuring an educational experience whilst being fun and engaging at the same time.”
