The Lego Group launches new podcast with celebrity guests

Published on: 9th November 2021

At Your Leisure, Lego’s new podcast, asks which hobbies keep the stars entertained, what pastimes they’ve nurtured since childhood, and what they’ve picked up over lockdown.

A new podcast from The Lego Group, aimed specifically at adults looking to explore the world of celebrity hobbies, pastimes and passions, is now available to stream from The Lego Group and Global Player.

Over 10 episodes, guests on the At Your Leisure podcast join host Sue Perkins, the comedian, broadcaster and author, for a chat about their hobbies. Some guests have turned their hobbies into remarkable careers, while others discuss their newly discovered passions.

Guests for the new series include author and Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain; award-winning comedian, author, DJ and podcast host John Robins; Capital Breakfast host Roman Kemp; comedian Maisie Adam; Smooth Breakfast presenter Jenni Falconer; Guinness World Record holder, professional stunt driver and British karting champion driver Jessica Hawkins; Radio X Drivetime host Johnny Vaughan; rapper and TV personality Big Zuu; and Billy Monger, a double amputee junior racing driver.

Episodes of At Your Leisure will be released during November and December 2021 on Global Player, with episodes 1 and 2, starring Nadiya Hussain and John Robins, released in the week commencing 15th November. Readers can listen to the trailer here.

Host Sue Perkins said: “I’ve loved making this podcast. I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with some truly amazing people, delving deep into their passions, hobbies and life-long obsessions. I can’t wait for you to hear them.”

“The At Your Leisure podcast with Global is The Lego Group’s first UK foray into the world of podcasts for leisure time listening and a great way to hear about a whole range of passions and pastimes from a host of interesting guests” says Andrea Wilson, brand manager at The Lego Group. “This podcast builds on the connection that we know many people have with building Lego sets, which starts in childhood and continues as many adults enjoy immersing themselves in the world of Lego building as a way to relax and switch off.”
