The MadeForMums Toy Awards 2022 open for entry

Published on: 8th June 2022

Entry to the MadeForMums Toy Awards website opens today and winners will be announced in early October, for pre-Christmas press coverage.

MadeForMums has opened entries to the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2022. The annual, consumer-facing awards celebrate the best toys at every age and stage from newborn to preteens, and are judged by an army of child testers – with the help of their parents, the MadeForMums editorial team and toy-industry experts.

The MadeForMums Toy Awards winners are announced in early October, just as the online upsurge in Christmas-toy search traffic begins – and winners are routinely covered by the national press.

This year, there will be awards in over 39 categories, including Best Science/STEM Toy, Best Scooter, Best Board Game, Best Wooden Toy, Best Outdoor Toy, Best Christmas-themed Toy and Best Stocking Filler.

All entries will automatically be considered for one of the Editor’s Choice Awards, with special recognition for toys where efforts have been made to reduce their impact on the environment.

A MadeForMums Toy Award is recognised by parents and retailers as a sign of a toy’s quality and play potential. “Because parents know all our Toy Awards winners have been so thoroughly tested, they trust our editorial coverage – which means loads of them then click through the links to buy the products we rate and recommend,” says Helen Brown, MadeForMums’ deputy editor and head Toy Tester.

Toy brands and PRs can enter their toys into the MadeForMums Toy Awards here. Winners and shortlisted entries receive showcase editorial coverage on madeformums.com, with winners getting a special click-to- buy link. Publication of this coverage is timed to hit the upsurge in Christmas gift search traffic in early October. Winners and shortlisted entries also receive a bespoke digital MadeForMums Toy Awards winners’ logo for use on packaging and online retail sites.
