The 152-page May issue of Toy World is now available to read online and is landing on doorsteps now.
The May issue is a Licensing Special edition, featuring an extended Licensing World section. We shine a spotlight on the most prominent characters, brands and licensed ranges, putting them right in front of the decision-makers in the kids’ space. We include the latest Hot Properties and a separate section featuring Character Licensed Merchandise. We also spoke exclusively to PocketWatch MD Danny Spronz, and Pokémon licensing director, EMEA, Mathieu Galante.
Following the cancellation of the Toymaster show this year, a special Show Off feature focuses on the specialist toy retail channel, as leading suppliers showcase new introductions to the indie sector. Our Touching Base feature asks suppliers to discuss the support they are offering retail as physical stores reopen for business, and an interview with Dave Middleton of Midco Toys takes us behind the scenes at the opening of his new store.
As usual, throughout the issue, we speak to a wide range of players – from indie retailers to major suppliers – to present you with a healthy cross-section of opinion, news and views. There are exclusive interviews with creative media agency KidsKnowBest; Magic Box CEO, David Bella; Zapf marketing manager Kasia Leskow and Mattel’s UK marketing director Kelly Philp, plus a newcomer to the UK market with big plans, Italian company Dimian.
And if that’s not enough, the May issue also contains up to date NPD insight, Generation Media’s marketing column, Toy Barnhaus’ indie viewpoint column and much more.
