Alan Musa, VP commercial director, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland, said: “The Nick App has been a tremendous success since its launch on ios. With the average user staying on the Nick App for 17 minutes a visit, the Nick App is clearly a destination for engaging Nick content that amuses our audience. I am so pleased that this content will now be available to Android users.”
The Nick App allows Nickelodeon fans to explore a world that showcases content from Nickelodeon and Nicktoons shows. In 2014 the Nick App won the best app or website (channel, strand or genre) at the 2014 Broadcast Digital Awards.
This month, Nick App users are able to vote for winners of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards through the app as well as watch exclusive clips starring Diversity’s Jordan and Perri, the UK hosts of this year’s awards.
In addition to content related to the Kids’ Choice Awards, visitors to the Nick App can watch full-length episodes, take part in polls, quizzes, read blogs, play games, view exclusive photo galleries and more. New content is added to the Nick App every day. More information on the Nick App can be found at nick.co.uk/app.
