The Rainbow Toy Awards 2016 gather pace

Published on: 21st June 2016

Bloggers are using the hashtag #rainbowtoyawards to create a social media buzz.

Rainbow-Awards-480In order to add a more social aspect to this year’s awards, testers are being asked to apply by using the hashtag, and by linking reviews of their favourite products to the awards website: This social media attention is to help with the overall reach of the awards, both now and during the entry period.

The Rainbow Awards have always been well supported by toy companies large and small, who enjoy the level playing field that the young testers create. The awards are already open for entry, and the entry fee is £125 per entry. A 2016 entry form can be downloaded from, or companies can email to be sent a form and gain further details.

Awards director, Peter Dawson, commented: “The entry deadline is 30th September. However, companies are being encouraged to enter as early as possible, as each blogger is always asked to place a review on their blog about the toys they test. No scores will be revealed of course, but there is some timely, free publicity to be gained, and with the 2016 testers creating even more of a social media buzz, we highly recommend an early entry.”
