The Rainbow Toy Awards celebrates 10th anniversary

Published on: 13th June 2018

The Rainbow Toy Awards is celebrating a decade of judging some of the best toys available in the UK.

Rainbow’s managing director, Peter Dawson, commented: “We never know which toys will win an award, as they are voted for by the children themselves, and we’ve certainly had a few surprises over the years. Children are the most brutal of critics, and so to win a Rainbow Toy Award is a real accolade.”

Any new product launches or relaunches for 2018 are eligible to be entered into the awards, which celebrate excellence within the toy industry. Each year’s award winners and highly commended products are featured in the live online ceremony at www.rainbowawards.co.uk and also in various consumer publications, plus hundreds of parental websites and blogs, just in time for the Christmas buying period.

Rainbow Award accredited toy testers test the toys and report back on playability, packaging, eco-friendliness, longevity and more. The awards are chosen by the children, making the award logo a credible piece of marketing for any company to use on its packaging, exhibition stands, adverts and any other marketing material.

The Rainbow Toy Awards are £125 per entry per category – unchanged from the first awards 10 years ago – helping to keep entry open to all companies, from the fledgling start up to the corporate manufacturer.
