Dame Stella Rimington DCB MA, former director general of MI5, to speak at Toy Industry Day.
Dame Stella Rimington, former director general of the Security Service (MI5), has been secured as a speaker for the upcoming Toy Industry Day, taking place at Great Fosters Hotel in Surrey on Wednesday 27th June. She was the first woman to take the post and the first person to be publicly named while in office. Dame Stella led MI5 at a time of unprecedented change, when the world was experiencing new threats and challenges. She will share her insights on her life and career whilst offering delegates the opportunity to pose their questions.
Attendees will also hear from Don Williams, partner – Retail Sector at KPMG UK, who will deliver a presentation on current retail trends and the trading environment.
The BTHA and TRA AGM will take place at 9.30am with the Industry Day commencing at 10.15am. In addition to the fantastic keynote speakers, the Toy Industry Day provides an unrivalled opportunity to network with industry peers in a fantastic setting and enjoy a delicious three course lunch in Great Fosters’ atmospheric Tithe Barn. The day’s events will finish by 3pm.
This event is open to the whole toy industry, with the first purchased ticket priced at £50+VAT, and subsequent tickets priced at £25+VAT. Please note that tickets are subject to availability and ticket allocation will take place from Friday 27th April.
