Toy Fair has retained strong support from the industry with 86% of exhibition space already sold out and a large number of new applications waiting to be allocated stands.
Despite the forced change of dates, the re-booking rate for 2016 currently stands at 75% with many of the larger brands such as Lego, Vivid, Character, Flair, Golden Bear, Simba Smoby, Spin Master and Bandai, amongst many others, all returning for another year.
Majen Immink, head of Toy Fair operations and sales, said: “In a year of change, some exhibitors have found the logistics more difficult to organise than others, and that was to be expected with two shows so close together. Having said that, we have had a positive response from the majority of exhibitors and have been pleasantly surprised by the number of new companies wishing to join the show – the upside of the date difficulties is that we actually have space for them this year.
“The BTHA values creating a professional show with buzz and excitement for the whole of the UK toy industry and these figures are a positive reflection of the continuous support for Toy Fair year on year. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to another thriving show.”
Toy Fair 2016 takes place from 24th-26th January at Olympia London.
