Dunblane’s Toy Hub has auctioned a Dr Who DVD board game, signed by Captain Jack (John Barrowman), in aid of local charities.

The auction took place at The Dunblane Centre’s Tartan Ball on the 23rd November, as part of its 10th anniversary events in support of itself and other local charities.

John Barrowman, who has family in Dunblane, went to Toy Hub earlier in the day, where he posed for photographs and signed the board games ready for auction. Helen and Gez Gourley, owners of Toy Hub, had seen on Twitter that he would be in Dunblane and asked him if he would like to drop into their store.

Helen said: “We managed to raise over £200 for the board game at the Tartan Ball, and we still have one more left to auction. The Dr Who craze is just starting, so we told ourselves not to rush it and make sure we auction the other for a good price because all the proceeds from the sales of these two board games is going to local charities. I tell you what though, you could have knocked me down with a feather when John Barrowman walked into our shop, it was amazing.”
