The independent toy shop has received a lot of interest from local schools.
Owners Gerard and Helen Gourley are putting on the competition to coincide with the US Oscars. However, due to high amounts of interest, they have now decided to postpone the submission date to the end of March.
They told Toy World: “Several of the local schools have asked us to work with them in helping the children create shop motion animation movies and they want to be able to do group as well as individual submissions. Due to the half term break the deadline of the end of February is too tight, so we’ve extended it until the end of March. So far one nursery, two primary schools and a local high school have all asked to be involved, and we’ve gifted them some studio sets and Stikbots to help get them started. This has also meant the kids have wanted to come in to buy their own to use at home.”
