More than £107,000 has been raised for charity during this year’s Toy Trust Media Auction, which sees toy companies bid on valuable print, TV and radio advertising.

Media AuctionThe BTHA has announced that the annual Toy Trust Media Auction has raised a colossal £107,100 during Toy Fair 2023, a record for the event.

The auction sees airtime and printed media slots generously donated by leading online, print and trade journals, while major retailers also added valuable promotional slots in their catalogues, resulting in £100,000+ of media space to bid for.

The Media Auction was live throughout Toy Fair, with final bids being placed via auction boards which remained on display in the BTHA Member’s Lounge on the Upper Gallery of Olympia.

Toy Trust Committee chairman Graham Canning commented: “Our thanks go to the Toy Trust’s generous media partners for their continued support, as well as to Havas Entertainment’s Matt Smith, and with special thanks to Jeff Taylor for their hard work and dedication in securing media items. I’d also like to thank my industry colleagues for their generous bids which has got our 2023 fundraising off to a magnificent start and will help us in our quest to continue to support UK based children’s charities this year.”
