Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge nears

Published on: 2nd July 2012

The Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge approaches with just five days to go.

A staggering 135 participants from over 20 companies will be attempting to raise £100,000 to build and run an orphanage in the low-economy country, Malawi.

Organiser and Toy Trust Chair Nick Austin said: “The response from the toy industry is truly inspiring as are levels of commitment shown by all 135 people to training and fund-raising. With one week to go before the event we stand at £98,000 raised so please, please sponsor somebody if you haven’t done so already…it is for a brilliant cause.”

Next Friday at 5.30pm, the climbers will start to ascend Snowdon, then onto Scafell Pike which will be climbed in the dark. The final leg is the long drive to Ben Nevis, and the final climb, with the aim of finishing by 5.30pm on Saturday.
