Toymaster catches Salmons Department Store

Published on: 11th April 2022

The popular department store, Salmons, located in Co. Galway, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

The independent buying group, Toymaster, has announced the latest member to join its ranks of specialist retailers: Salmons Department Store.

The family-owned independent department store, located on Main Street, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, marks an impressive 60 years in business in 2022. Its Toys department offers a raft of brands and themes. Siku and Bruder agricultural models are popular, while the store also highlights Nerf blasters, kites and outdoor sports accessories, games & puzzles and fidget toys among its most popular lines, making up an extensive offering including these ranges and much more.

Salmons launched a brand new website in 2020 and is active on social media, much to the delight of its local shopper community. It offers home delivery and same-day click & collect services for those unable to visit its large bricks & mortar store.

By joining Toymaster, the team at Salmons will now be able to enjoy superb access to around 160 leading toys and games suppliers, make the most of the the Toymaster Information Management System (TIMS) – a time- and energy-saving internal portal which manages invoices and payments (plus many other features) – install free branded or generic window displays, and hand out printed Toymaster catalogues twice a year.

In a release issued by Toymaster, the group said: “We would like to welcome Salmons to the Toymaster family and wish Carol, Megan, Donna, Bernie and Dermot the best of luck.”

To find out more about Toymaster and how your store can become a member, visit the website, look out for the special feature in the upcoming May issue of Toy World, or head to the Toymaster May Show in Harrogate.

Salmons Department Store can be found at 16 Main Street, Ballinasloe, Co Galway, H53 N2AO.
