Toymaster launches spring catalogue and ‘Give a Toy for Easter’ campaign

Published on: 29th March 2022

The independent toy buying group’s new 16-page catalogue and upcoming campaign both urge consumers to consider giving a toy, game or puzzle for Easter.

Toymaster, the independent toy buying group, has just launched its latest spring/summer catalogue.

One of the many benefits of Toymaster membership, the twice-yearly catalogues offer specialist indie retailers another way to engage with their communities. The colourful catalogues can be offered in-store, where shoppers can pick one up while browsing for or buying their latest purchase, or retailers can opt to have them distributed along with local newspapers. The Spring 2022 Toymaster Catalogue features a raft of the newest and most popular toys and games, including Lego, Squishmallows, Barbie, Goo Jit Zu, L.O.L. Surprise! and much more.

Toymaster is also on the verge of kicking off its 2022 Easter marketing campaign, which, like the catalogue, places an emphasis on giving toys, games and puzzles for Easter this year instead of the more traditional chocolate egg. The group will be sharing two or three posts a week between now and Easter Sunday, starting tomorrow, each of which will highlight the suitability of toys and games as an alternative gift and inspire parents and gift-givers.

Ultimately, the aim of the campaign is to drive consumers into Toymaster stores, where they’ll be able to find a broad selection of products and benefit from the knowledge and expertise of specialist toy retailers. The group has created an assortment of new assets for the campaign featuring its two cute new puppies which will ‘work’ alongside long-term mascot Toby to raise awareness of Toymaster’s members.

Brian McLaughlin, Toymaster’s development manager, commented: “Easter is an important time of the year for sales, with parents and relatives looking for alternative gifts to give children other than chocolate. The Toymaster ‘Give a Toy for Easter’ campaign promotes a healthier, more playful gift and drives consumers into independent toy stores instead of supermarkets.”
