Treasure X Aliens named Action Figure of the Year at Australian Toy Awards

Published on: 4th March 2019

Moose Toys won the coveted award for Treasure X Aliens at the 2019 ceremony in Melbourne.

The revolutionary new Treasure X Aliens marks the evolution of the disruptive Treasure X brand, which launched to market at the 2018 Toy Fair and has rapidly grown a cult, global following.

Launching in June 2019 through all major Australian toy retailers, and then rolling out around the world, Treasure X Aliens adds an out-of-this-world element to playtime.

“We are excited and honoured to be walking away from this year’s Australian Toy Awards with a Toy of the Year win in the action figure category – a brand new category for us,” said Eva Daly, global PR and partnerships manager at Moose. “It is a real testament to the team, which has worked hard diversifying our portfolio. We just know that fans all over the world are going to love this toy.”

Designed as a premium unboxing experience, Treasure X Aliens lets fans use the included tool to dissect the alien and save the Treasure Hunter within. A bag of ooze is included in every alien stomach, as well as a tweezer tool to help pull out the alien stomach contents. The ooze can then be stored in the included storage container, or squished into the alien’s head so kids can watch it ooze out.

There are 18 treasure hunters to collect and swap, each with an included weapon and treasure as well as a chance to find a Real Gem treasure in every pack. These gems are known as ‘peridot’, some of which have been found in meteorites, so the gem could actually be from outer space.
