Trunki has been holding a month of celebrations throughout October to celebrate the two millionth Trunki suitcase rolling off the production line.trunki-2-million300

The one millionth Trunki was produced in 2011, meaning it took five years to reach one million and just two years to get to two million. One Trunki is sold every minute, and total global retail spend to date has been £70m. The company achieved a turnover of £6.1m in 2012.

Trunki is now sold in over 90 countries and comes in 12 variations in the UK, including the new Moshi Monsters licensed Poppet and Katsuma, which will be introduced in time for Christmas. Tens of thousands of Trunki cases are now manufactured in the UK by the factory Magma Moulding in Plymouth, bought by Trunki in 2012.

To celebrate the two million milestone, a month of celebrations has been taking place throughout October, including a social media competition which asked Trunki owners to post pictures of their Trunki cases in action and will be awarding a holiday as the grand prize. A Halloween-themed two million fancy dress party was also held at the Trunki Bristol office – which is known as ‘the Mothership’ – on Friday 25 October.
