Turner Broadcasting appoints Johanne Broadfield

Turner Broadcasting has announced the appointment of Johanne Broadfield to the role of vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), EMEA.Johanne-Broadfield300

Johanne will be responsible for leading Turner’s consumer products team and business, spearheading the development of Turner’s channel and show brands into consumer product franchises within and across the region. She will lead a business unit responsible for product licensing, promotions, publishing, home entertainment, events and environments. She will also direct brand, licensing, retail and associated marketing strategies for CNE, working in conjunction with the global Turner CNE team to develop and execute franchise strategies and plans.

Broadfield joins Turner Broadcasting from Mattel, where she was senior director across the UK, Canada and Eastern Europe consumer products business. She has also held leadership roles at Disney, Fisher-Price, as well as Burda Medien and Alpina International in Germany. Based in London, she will report to Pete Flamman, SVP and COO Turner EMEA, who said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Johanne. She has fantastic experience and is well placed to lead CNE towards future growth. This is an extremely important part of our business, not only in terms of revenue growth but also in terms of delivering against our commitment to be where our audiences are.”
