Karisma Kidz visited one of the Good Toy Guide’s toy clinics at Toy Fair in 2013 and went on to have successful testing of samples of the interactive dolls. Despite not securing investment in the Den, Karisma Kidz has gone on to attract funding and secure deals with several big names, including O2 and Kurio.

Playaway Case was the other company to feature on Dragons Den this weekend. Jo Kerly was offered and accepted Duncan Bannatyne’s offer of a £60,000 investment for 35% of the company. The company was involved in the Good Toy guise’s successful premier at the Ideal Home Show and Christmas in November. Jo Kerly has been pleased with the support she received from the Good Toy Guide, which helped her to raise awareness of her brand, gain valuable consumer insight and sell nearly twice as many Playaway Cases as she had expected.
