Ty Flippables selling out ‘within 24 hours’

The collectible new range taps into the popularity of sequins and animals.

Ty Flippables, the innovative new gifting range from the maker of Beanie Babies and Beanie Boos, was soft-launched at retail in recent weeks. The animal characters, including dinosaurs, unicorns, foxes, owls and dogs, feature a two-tone metallic sequin outer which can be brushed back and forth to create distinctive looks and patterns.

Combining major trends such as sequins, animals and collectibles is an approach which appears to be paying off for Ty, with Mark Swallow, the company chairman, telling Toy World that the range has been selling out within a day in some locations.

“The reaction has been extremely positive, right from the early product tests to the recent deliveries to stores,” he says. “We have had stores selling out within 24 hour periods, which is a testament to the early success of the range.”

In addition to the collectible animals, Flippables fans can also get their hands on a range of fashion and apparel options including handbags, slippers and purses.
