UK primary teachers endorse LeapReader

LeapFrog is set to further promote the ways LeapReader can support and reinforce classroom literacy techniques at home, by working with teachers across the UK to showcase the tool’s educational credentials.LeapReader300

LeapReader offers three literacy experiences in one: learning to read, learning to write, and learning through listening.

LeapFrog’s introduction of its new ‘Ask a Teacher’ video campaign sees the company asking teachers across the UK for their honest thoughts on LeapReader. The testimonials highlight how LeapReader is a favourite with teachers, and aims to introduce parents to the ways in which the product can help develop their child’s education and skill sets outside the classroom, from phonics, word recognition, letter and number formation, to listening and comprehension skills.

LeapFrog is creating a series of short video testimonials for parents to view and will continue to collect feedback from teachers throughout the year. Laura Albrecht teaches six- and seven-year-olds in London, and is one of LeapFrog’s first teachers on board this campaign. Laura commented: “The three learning aspects of LeapReader let children go at their own pace. They can listen to how to form a letter, they can see a visual, and they can also get the tactile experience of doing it themselves.”

PR and targeted video seeding activity across key parenting sites will support this testimonial campaign in 2014, with videos being shared amongst LeapFrog’s consumer database and social media communities.

Chris Spalding, MD and SVP for EMEA and Australasia at LeapFrog, said: “We were always confident that the innovation behind LeapReader would make it a popular device with children and parents alike, and sales in 2013 more than lived up to expectations. We are delighted with the results so far and look forward to further building on its success this year by highlighting the academic praise and feedback we have received for it by professionals.

“Our specialist in-house learning team ensures the entire LeapFrog range supports the school curriculum and delivers our signature combination of education and entertainment. Our new ‘Ask a Teacher’ video campaign will highlight LeapReader as a key, teacher-approved player within this extensive range, and we will continue to work with a wide network of teachers across the UK to highlight it’s unquestionable educational value and the supportive learning role it can play in the home.”
