Over the weekend, the press ran a story regarding consumers’ search for the 16th figure in Series 5 Moshling Collectables: Ultra Rare Snozzle Wobbleson. Vivid was alerted to the missing Snozzle figure after fans posted across Moshi fan sites that they were unable to find him in blind bags. After investigating, it was discovered that due to a production scheduling error, Snozzle Wobbleson missed being included in the first shipment that launched in mid-January.
Vivid reacted swiftly to the initial findings by posting a series of statements via Moshi community channels, apologising for the error in production and ensuring all fans that Snozzle figures were being brought into the country as soon as they could be produced. Snozzle will be available later this month.
Given this delay, in order to get Snozzle Wobblesons directly into the hands of fans as quickly as possible, a ‘Snozzle Saturday’ swap day will be held across The Entertainer stores enabling fans to swap an existing Moshling figure for a Snozzle, with other stores being planned for Scotland, Northern and Southern Ireland. This event is to take place on 16th March with further shipments of Snozzle figures being in Moshi collectable packs later this month. For fans who can’t get to a swap day, Vivid is setting up a system whereby they can be sent a Snozzle figure via Vivid and Mind Candy customer services teams.
Neil Bandtock, managing director Vivid UK, said: “As soon as we discovered that there was a delay in Snozzle arriving, we let fans know via social media to keep them informed of the situation. Getting product into the hands of consumers is our first priority. So we’ve put together a way of facilitating this on a large scale at high street level via ‘Snozzle Saturday’ on the 16th March in The Entertainer and other stores in Scotland, Northern and Southern Ireland. Regular shipments of Snozzle Wobbleson figures will be made during March. In the meantime we are keeping Moshi fans fully updated via the Mind Candy website, Facebook and Twitter.”
