The range of toys, set to launch in the UK and France from Autumn/Winter 2013, will include plush, collectable figures, playsets and puzzles, plus track and vehicle play, and is based on the Tickety Toc characters, including comedic twins Tommy & Tallulah and puppy-dog train Pufferty.
Vivid will hold distribution rights for UK and Eire, France, Germany, Iberia, Benelux and Nordics, in addition to global manufacturing rights outside North America, Japan & Korea.
Tickety Toc launched on Nick Jr. in the UK this April as its number-one show for that month, and is set to launch on Milkshake! and France 5 this Autumn. Other free-to-air broadcasters who have picked up the 52-episode series include Disney Junior (Canada), TG4 (Ireland), NRK Super (Norway), YLE (Finland) and Pop TV (Slovenia).
Alastair McHarrie, VP of Sales, Consumer Products, Zodiak Kids London, said: “We’re delighted to have a British toy company of Vivid’s calibre on board. With their experience and enthusiasm, I’m confident they will develop a successful line of toys which capture the fun and energy of Tickety Toc.”
Emma Weber, Vivid’s marketing and licensing director, added: “The show has great unisex appeal and is already slated to roll out internationally, allowing Vivid’s European offices along with international distributors the opportunity to partner on our extensive master toy programme.”
