Vivid Toy Group signs licensing deal with Zeptolab for Cut The Rope

Published on: 24th August 2012

The first toys will feature Cut The Rope plush, basic plush, key chains and collectables.

All will highlight the designs and themes that have made a success of the game, in particular its loveable star, the little green monster Om Nom. The toys will launch in the UK in January, followed by France, Germany, Spain, Benelux and Portugal.

Brokered by ITV Studios Global Entertainment, Zeptolab’s licensing agent in the European Union, the deal will cover the UK and all Vivid European subsidiaries.

Paul Weston, Vivid Imaginations CEO, said: “We are all very excited about adding Cut The Rope to our portfolio. The digital world has become an important new source of entertainment properties and they don’t get much bigger than Cut The Rope.”

Trudi Hayward, SVP, head of Global Merchandise, ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said: “Vivid has the distribution reach that will ensure that these toys are finally available to all those fans who have been eagerly looking forward to having an Om Nom of their very own.”

Misha Lyalin, CEO of Zeptolab, added: “We confidently expect this property to be as successful with licensees and at retail across Europe as it has been on so many major digital platforms.”
