Vivid’s toy range has been well received, with many retailers placing repeat orders within the first week of being on sale. With strong week on week sales, Vivid has high hopes that Teen Beach Movie will follow in the footstep of previous ‘teen’ movie success High School Musical.

Miniature versions of the Teen Beach Movie stars Brady, Mackenzie and Lela are available. There is the Beach Fashion dolls featuring the outfits worn in the movie, and the Rock ‘n’ Fashion Dolls with retro biker outfits. Other products in Vivid’s range include the Sing Along microphone featuring songs from the movie, and the Musical Key chains available in four movie-themed designs.

Mary Wood, marketing director at Vivid, said: “Teen Beach is a fun loving, feel good property which girls will love. Support for the licence across the trade has been very good and with the TV and PR activity around the movie, we anticipate sales will continue to grow.”

Lindsay Rogers, Girls Toys buying manager at Argos, added: “Customers have responded really well to the Teen Beach products in our new Autumn/Winter range, and we are looking forward to seeing this continue as we move into peak trading’.’

The toy range will be supported by Disney and Vivid PR initiatives, in addition to TV advertising across terrestrial and satellite channels including presence on the Disney Channel.
