Voice cast revealed for CBBC show Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed

CBBC and Beano Studios also announce new characters moving into Beanotown.

Voiced by an all-star cast, the TV series Dennis and Gnasher: Unleashed is hitting CBBC screens later this year.

The forthcoming 52-part TV series will showcase a new look and feel for the 10-year-old mischief-maker Dennis, his friends, and their hometown. Their world will be brought to life using the latest CGI 3D techniques, bringing Beanotown and its residents up to date for the newest generation of fans.

Joining previously announced Freddie Fox – who voices Dennis – are Kathryn Drysdale, Rasmus Hardiker, Ryan Sampson, Joanna Ruiz, and Kelly-Marie Stewart.

Following his role as Count Duckula in Danger Mouse, Rasmus joins the cast as Dennis’ arch-rival, Walter. Pieface, who is known for alternating moments of daftness with those of brilliance, will be voiced by Ryan Sampson. Lending her voice to brand new character, JJ, is Kathryn Drysdale. JJ is brought to life through Kathryn’s wealth of experience in playing strong and assertive female leads.

Kelly-Marie Stewart lends her voice to another new character, Rubi Von Screwtop, the group’s budding inventor, and rounding off the cast is Joanna Ruiz, who adds her cartoon-voicing experience to the cast as Bash Street School’s Mrs Creecher. Joanna also plays Dennis’ eccentric Gran.

Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed is produced by Beano Studios, and executively produced by Michael Elson alongside Jo Allen for CBBC.

Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed will air in late 2017 on CBBC.
