Warner Bros. showcases global opportunities at BLE

Studio is spotlighting its DC portfolio, J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, and a range of animation favourites.

In the lead-up to the 17th November release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Justice League, WBCP is assembling a line-up of global merchandise partners including Mattel, The Lego Group, Rubie’s Costumes Company and Panini. Products have already entered the market throughout EMEA, as WBCP continues to roll out a merchandise programme worldwide to support the feature film release.

After getting an early look at Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and seeing him in action in this year’s Justice League, moviegoers can experience Aquaman’s debut standalone feature, coming to cinemas in 2018. At BLE this year, WBCP will give licensees and partners a glimpse of the undersea superhero.

Also highlighting WBCP’s offerings at BLE is the DC Super Hero Girls franchise. Led by master toy partner Mattel, along with global partners The Lego Group, Rubie’s, Random House publishing partner and more, the world of DC Super Hero Girls includes content, multiple platforms and a range of products with an expanding global reach into new categories, product and content offerings, including animated shorts, online activities, apps and games, social media platform engagements, and more.

J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World encompasses two film franchises, Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, with each offering a world of characters, stories, experiences and products. In EMEA, Europe’s biggest fashion retailer Primark continues to enjoy success with its high-street Harry Potter range, and the company is also welcoming speciality retailers such as Pottery Barn and Pendleton. At BLE, WBCP is exploring new licensing opportunities highlighting the second film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, coming to cinemas November 2018.

WBCP’s animation franchises and characters, such as Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry and many others are also providing offerings for fans. In addition to bringing more animation opportunities to BLE, WBCP is showing a preview of new content from Warner Bros. Animation, including Wacky Races, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, and the upcoming series UniKitty! – based on the character from The Lego Movie – among other new properties.
