Wigwam Toys to support Small Business Saturday

Published on: 15th September 2015

Small business Saturday is a campaign which encourages customers to shop locally, in order to help out independent businesses.

Wigwam-Toys-480The event was first launched in 2010 by American Express, and will take place this year on November 28th.

Wigwam Toys, an independent toy store in Brighton, has a history of participating in Small Business Saturday, and this year plans to show its support once more. Clair Letton, owner of Wigwam Toys, and successful entrepreneur Sarah Willingham have come together to film a three-minute video explaining why other retailers should get involved with the event and why customers should shop locally.

Clair Letton commented: “There are lots of small businesses taking part in Brighton, and there is certainly plenty of reason to do so. It brings local communities together and gives smaller businesses the opportunity to promote themselves and others. On Small Business Saturday, Wigwam toys will be encouraging customers to get involved by offering 10% off all products if they mention the campaign, with a prize draw being carried out at the end of the day. We will also be using social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to gain further support.”
