The winners of the annual Awards were revealed last night, with Meccanoid scooping the top spot.

Meccanoid_G15KS_02The event, organised by, was held at the The O2’s Sky Superscreen, Cineworld.

Hosted by children’s TV presenter Nigel Clarke, children were entertained by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle mascots, a balloon artist and a series of films starring themselves (the Toy Testers) and the toys.

A panel of Head Toy Testers cast the winning votes to decide which finalists, in a series of categories, should win titles such as The Most Fun Toy of the Year, The Coolest Toy of the Year and the Most Awesome Gaming Toy.

The team also screened a short film created by the crew and the children called Toy Wars and a series of competitions enabled children in the audience to win toys.

The Awards is a unique annual event that gives children the opportunity to put toys and games to the test and vote for their favourites.

Gemma Gallagher, founder of, commented: “ is all about children’s opinions and once again there have been some surprises this year. Children’s opinions are very different to adults when it comes to toys and their votes are the ones that really count. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this experience to children across the UK. Not only has it been an amazing journey but it gives children the opportunity to increase their confidence and be part of something fun. I’d like to offer our congratulations to all the worthy winners.”
