To celebrate the forthcoming 17th November premiere of series five of Winx Club on Nickelodeon and the brand new doll line from JAKKS, press invitees including specially selected bloggers and children were able to experience an exclusive sneak-peek screening of two new episodes at the Odeon Cinema Covent Garden.
After being greeted on the Winx pink carpet, guests were the first to see two brand new episodes from the hit Nickelodeon animated series. Following the screening, Winx fans donned their wings and rocked out in the Frutti Music Bar, joining the resident Winx DJ as they danced along to their favourite Winx tunes! Transformed into Winx fairies with mini makeovers, glitter tattoos and exclusive Winx dress assortments and tutus, the invited children delighted in getting a sneak peak at the projected product lines for 2013, singing along with the all-new Winx Club Rock Star microphone and Winx Dance Mats. “Winx is proving a phenomenal success for us in 2012” claims Ken Goodisson, Marketing Manager at JAKKS UK. “This event provided us with a unique opportunity to immerse the blogger community in the brand and showcase the world of Winx in a fun, experiential format.”
Devised to showcase the energy, music, self belief and focus on friendship of the Winx Club brand, the event transformed the Odeon Leicester Square into a magical Winx World. Bespoke hashtags were incorporated into the event to encourage attendees to share the activity as much as possible on their social networks resulting in news of the premiere episodes and doll launch have reaching more than 59,000 Twitter accounts over the weekend.*
