Exhibition space nearly sold out for Kind + Jugend 2018

Published on: 20th June 2018

Around 1,200 exhibitors will present their goods at the show between 20th-23rd September.

Kind + Jugend, which takes place this September in Cologne, has announced that nearly all the available exhibition space has been allocated three months before the show begins. With around 1,200 suppliers gathering for the annual event, 85% of which are travelling from abroad, Kind + Jugend once again offers information, inspiration and ordering opportunities from the kids marketplace.

The success of the show is also due to its high quality event programme, which gathers innovations, trends and themes under the Support Circle umbrella, positioning itself as both a market and future-oriented exhibition.

The Kind + Jugend Innovation Award and the Kids Design Award are core parts of the event programme, guiding participants towards emerging industry trends for the coming season, themes of interest to the trade and parents, and the solutions on offer.

The Innovation Award honours innovative products in eight categories, with a jury composed of international trade journalists as well as security and health experts, while the Kids Design Award distinguishes outstanding concepts and designs for baby and children’s outfitting and furniture.

The Innovation Award and Kids Design Award run together with the Consumer Award, which was introduced in 2014. All winners will be announced on the first day of the trade fair, and the winning products will be presented at special events throughout the show.

Last year the special event The Connected Kidsroom was presented for the first time, meeting with great interest from exhibitors and visitors. In 2018, a number of ideas relating to this trend theme will be on show, demonstrating how new and pioneering technologies can be used to achieve higher levels of safety and well-being.
