The company will have its own dedicated zone in the Dubai adventure park.
Cartoon Network has unveiled details of its dedicated Cartoon Network Zone within IMG Worlds of Adventure, Dubai’s first mega themed entertainment destination, following the announcement that the world’s largest indoor theme park will open its doors on Monday 15th August 2016.
The deal between Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group (IMG) and Cartoon Network will see the award- winning hit Cartoon Network shows Ben 10, Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls and The Amazing World of Gumball brought to life in an interactive world of thrilling rides and entertainment.
Ben 10 5D – ‘Hero Time’ includes a 5D multi-sensory theatre experience, as well as the opportunity to ride with Blossom, Bubbles & Buttercup in The Powerpuff Girls – Mojo Jojo’s Robot Rampage. Visitors to Cartoon Network zone will also enjoy an Adventure Time themed scenic ride high above the park on The Ride of Ooo with Finn and Jake, as well as The Amazing Ride of Gumball in an interactive remote game.
Alongside the rides, the Cartoon Network zone will have a line up of branded restaurants and retail locations, including the world’s largest Ben 10 retail store.
IMG Worlds of Adventure’s 1.5 million square foot project will be the world’s largest temperature controlled indoor themed entertainment destination with a capacity to welcome more than 30,000 guests from all over the world every day.
Johanne Broadfield, VP EMEA at Cartoon Network Enterprises, commented: “After working closely with IMG over the past few years, we’re extremely excited to be getting close to the park’s official opening. Throughout the process, IMG has matched our passion and ambition to bring Cartoon Network’s iconic brands to life; and the attraction is a significant milestone in our strategy to deliver more immersive fan experiences for kids and families. We’re confident that the Cartoon Network zone will build upon the channels’ already strong position in the Middle East and that both the young and the young at heart will be delighted when the park opens its gates this August.”
