Las Vegas Licensing Expo to change date in 2017

Published on: April 19th, 2016

The show will move a month earlier, from its current June slot to May 23rd-25th.

expo480According to show organiser UBM Advanstar, this strategic shift will provide an opportunity for exhibitors and attendees to better leverage the time of year and the proximity of Licensing Expo to Brand Licensing Europe in October. Jessica Blue , senior vice president licensing, UBM Americas, commented: “Following feedback from the industry and partners, Licensing Expo, is moving to May 23rd-25th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre in Las Vegas. The new time slot ensures a consistent date for UBM Licensing customers around the world and puts some much-needed distance between Licensing Expo and E3 while providing additional time between our sister shows.”

Charles Riotto, president of event sponsor Lima, added: “We are excited for this move and see it is a positive for our industry. Our members have expressed the need for timing that better fits the global business cycle, and we are pleased to be able to offer them a solution that is beneficial to the licensing community.”

Complimentary registration for the Licensing Expo 2016, which will be held June 21st-23rd, is available at LicensingExpo.com/RegisterHere.
