Sandrine de Raspide named general manager, International Sales and Licensing.

MGA Entertainment has brought Sandrine de Raspide into its ranks as the general manager of international sales and licensing, deepening their executive roster and strengthening MGAE’s international presence. Sandrine will transition from her prior role as senior vice president at Level-5 abby Hong Kong to her new role at MGAE immediately. She will be based at MGAE’s North American global headquarters in Chatsworth, California, reporting directly to Isaac Larian, CEO and founder of MGAE.

“I have known Sandrine for many years and I’m happy to have her back at MGAE,” said Isaac. “Her deep knowledge of the international markets combined with her passionate spirit to deliver quality programmes and initiatives will bring for exciting international licensing programmes.”

She will be responsible for strategising the growth and expansion of international markets in Europe, Australia, Middle East, Asia and Latin America. Her focus will revolve around licensing and sales initiatives that align with the company’s overall growth categories, including content distribution, live experiences, and consumer engagement activities, as well as other management responsibilities. She will also work closely with North American licensing head Ratna Kirpal, who joined MGAE in early 2019, to identify and orchestrate global licensing programmes.

From 2002 to 2007, Sandrine was the vice president of International Sales and Marketing at MGAE, playing an integral role in the successful launch of Bratz.  “It’s great to be back at MGAE,” she commented. “Our future is flush with new partners as we grab hold of the many opportunities before us, and I am thrilled to help lead this charge.”

Sandrine began her career in LA at Saban Entertainment/Fox Family, where she honed her negotiation skills and gained a keen understanding of the relationship between producers, television channels, and toy manufacturers, while also ensuring seamless integration of storytelling, broadcasting, and licensing.

Since 2016, Sandrine has been senior vice president of Hong Kong-based Level-5 abby for the joint venture of Dentsu Inc. and Level-5. Prior to that, she served Japanese giant Sanrio from 2011 concurrently as the COO of Sanrio GmbH, COO of Mr. Men Limited, and senior vice president of Sanrio Global Asia. From 2007 through 2011, she was an executive vice president at Marvel Entertainment, before moving to Disney.
