The exhibition will run from from 1st December to 22nd June 2014 at The Historical Museum of the Palatinate in Speyer, Germany. Fans can explore many of their favourite Playmobil themes, from the historical through to the modern day.

The museum worked with collectors to create 2,000 square metres of features which show how product design has changed over time and how playsets are created. There will also be an injection moulding machine which will produce souvenirs for visitors, and special play areas where younger fans can share the magic, including a walk-in cave, a Roman galley and an enormous cargo ship. The exhibition is the first in a series of celebrations to mark Playmobil’s special milestone year, supported heavily by marketing and PR activity across the continents.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing manager for Playmobil UK, commented: “It’s very exciting indeed to welcome a whole exhibition celebrating Playmobil. It’s a fantastic way to see in our landmark year, and give something back to our loyal fans for their support over the last 40 years.”
