After reports of a shortage of Star Wars toys, Brian Goldner has assured more are on the way
Brian Goldner, CEO of Hasbro, said: “After Force Friday, we had such a great response that we were a little short of product, and we’re catching up. In the next week or two we’ll be caught up, and by the time the movie comes out on 18th December, we’ll be in a great position. It takes us about eight weeks to produce a toy and get it to market, and we’re moving as fast as we can to make sure everybody gets the toys they want for the holidays.”
As well as Star Wars toys, Hasbro is banking on other brands for the festive season. Brian Goldner notes that Nerf product sales are up 25% this year, and that the Play-Doh line is also performing well.
