Wow! Stuff video competition names robot toy

Published on: 29th May 2012

Earlier this year, Wow! Stuff released a video of a robot toy as part of a competition asking the public to name the toy featured. A winner has finally been chosen.

After a month of working through the names, the team at Wow! Stuff has now announced that they have picked a winner; Attacknids.

Attacknids was suggested a total of 23 times but the first to come up with it was competition winner Aaron Carr. Aaron received one of the first Attacknids on the market and commented: “When I saw the video for these toys I was amazed! This is the toy I always dreamed about when growing up.”

The Greatest Toy in the Universe video attracted over 2 million views in just three days and received over 24,000 comments. The competition had a response of over 10,000 entries in just over a week.

Attacknids will be the first release under the Combat Creatures brand, and will hit stores nationwide in September.
